John McCorvey III

John McCorvey III is an entrepreneur and financier with over 20 years of experience in the legal, technology, venture capital, private equity, hedge fund, investment banking and institutional investment industries.
Mr. McCorvey is the CEO of Stonegate Global, which provides consulting and advisory services to global law firms, and also provides legal sourcing, fund formation, fund administration and prime brokerage services to offshore and domestic investment funds, including hedge funds, venture capital funds, private equity funds and real estate funds. Mr. McCorvey is also the Chief Executive Officer of BlueFlame Capital Partners, which is a private equity and merchant banking firm focusing on M&A transactions and alternative investment funds.
Mr. McCorvey began his institutional investment career as a financial analyst for the Florida State Board of Administration, the now $180 billion pension fund for the state of Florida. He was the senior vice president of Neovest, an electronic trading platform and brokerage business, which was subsequently sold to JP Morgan in 2005. Mr. McCorvey was the senior vice president at MadisonGrey, which at the time was Bank of Butterfield’s domestic Hedge Fund Administration business, where he led the firm’s growth from approximately $100 million assets under administration to approximately $2 billion.
Mr. McCorvey has been cited in various publications, including Global Custodian, Securities Technology Monitor, Institutional Investor, Clearing Quarterly, and Hedge Fund Marketing Alliance. Mr. McCorvey is also a speaker on investment radio and television shows and at hedge fund and family office conferences.
Mr. McCorvey studied investment management at the Harvard Business School, successfully completing the Private Equity and Venture Capital program. Mr. McCorvey holds a BS in finance with a minor in economics from Florida State University, and was a member of the 1993 Florida State University Seminoles National Championship Football Team.
